I was commissioned by DFL Sports who are the official media partner of the Bundesliga to initially illustrate Thomas Tuchel in my minimalist style, to celebrate his 100th Bundesliga victory as a manager for use on the Bundesliga’s social media channels.
Following my illustration of Thomas Tuchel, DFL Sports have asked me to illustrate all the captains of all Bundesliga clubs from the 2016/17 season. Producing two illustrations a week, I started with Lars Stindl of Borussia Monchengladbach and Sebastian Rudy of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
Following the illustrations of the captains, I was asked to continue to illustrate a few more well known players that represent different countries around the globe. From Pulisic from the United States of America, to Osako from Japan, to Aubameyang from Gabon. To name but a few…
